  We've had a contract with Kunco for plowing for 3 years now but I cancelled today. The first two years they were great but service fell off a cliff this year. They didn't show up until 24 hrs after major snowfall, I was charged double rates multiple times for snowfall over 6" when the National weather service shows less than 3" accumulation and I was charged for plowing twice a day when they definitely only came once. The first two years they plowed well around my truck and didn't pile snow in front of the garage door. This year snow was stacked almost 1' high preventing us from getting our other car out of the garage and only about half of the drive was actually cleared. I really don't know what happened between last winter and this year but I feel robbed. Tried to resolve the issue with the office staff who can only say "we bill based off the route reports". Clearly their reports are incorrect but they don't care. I have never in my life taken the time to write a negative review of any company but I am so disappointed. Beware.

  Morgan, we value you as a customer and hate that the massive, unpredictable snow fall this season has caused you to lose faith in our services and our company. As you stated in your review, you have used our plowing services for 3 years with no issues. This year has been a nightmare for all plow companies, the city of Erie, and especially for residents fighting to get out of their driveways. The contract you signed and all our customer contracts state that if it snows over 6" there will be a 2X charge. With greater snowfalls, the time it takes to plow a driveway doubles for our plow drivers; that's why we put this disclaimer of " 2x over 6" in every contract. Regarding the number of plows you were billed for, our drivers start between 1:00am and 3:00am in the early morning hours. All our drivers have route sheets they have to fill out with the time they plow each account on their route. Our goal is to plow a driveway early in the morning while our customers are sleeping so when they are ready to leave for work, their driveway is clear. This winter season has been very unpredictable for all snow service companies. We've had several snowfalls where our crews have plowed once at 3:00am, but then by 7:00am there is another 3" or more inches on the ground. We've had two days where we've plowed in the morning, just to have it snow another foot during the day. It's impossible for anyone to tell if a driveway was plowed with the volume of snow and the winds causing drifts this winter. As you learned when you called into the office, we have to rely on our route sheets (route reports), turned in by each driver. Already this winter, Erie County is reporting three times the amount of snow as the last two years. It's been very difficult for the county and the city to keep up with the three heaviest snowfalls we've had thus far. Morgan, we never want any of our customers to feel like they've been "robbed."   I loved working with Misty at Kunco Landscape! She spent time with me going back and forth about design and plant selections. I was super particular and she was so kind. I am super happy with how our front yard turned out.

  We have used Kunco for the past two snow seasons and have had wonderful service. Recently our business added in landscaping that the landlord handled and needless to say did not do very well. Misty and her team went above and beyond when they came out and brought our showroom landscaping back to life. Her and her crew of Freddy, Jose and Jose did an outstanding job. I will always refer business to these guys!!
