  Tom did not do the work he agreed to do. I asked for him to pull up landscaping fabric under the existing mulch, which he didn't do. He also mulched an area out back which I never asked him to do. When I tried to reach him after, there was no response. I really regret paying him frankly.

  This past summer, Kozlowski lawn service was supposed to show up for a weekly mowing. After June, before July 4th weekend, they stopped showing up without any explanation and didn't reply to any calls or emails. We ended up buying a riding mower on Craigslist to do it ourselves. Last week before Christmas, he started emailing me demanding I write him a personal check to pay for mowings after this date with zero proof he mowed our lawn. He first said I owed him 3 mowings, then after I asked for proof said we owed him for two. I told him I would have my bank send him a check so he would never contact me or come to my house again. After all this, he showed up in person at my door asking for a personal check "to help him out for Christmas." I'm not sure why he felt after such poor service we owed him a favor. My husband told him my bank would send him the check and he left (thankfully). We kept every email and detailed calendar records for every time his crew showed up.

  Like last summer, Kozlowski was supposed to mow my lawn and three others on my block every other week during the growing season. After the first mow, they never showed again. Tom never contacted us or replied to our texts to let us know he wasn't coming back or to provide any explanation.
