Just picked up a beautiful Picea Orientalis Gowdy on sale for 40% off. Tremendous value, magnificent plant! It was a challenge getting in my vehicle, but they used their smarts and backed up the flatbed to the opening of my SUV and slid it in. Brilliant! So glad I found this place. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. I can't wait to plan the rest of the garden so I can come back to shop. BTW, I found a garden statue online and put it in my shopping cart elsewhere. I saw that statue for less here!

I have to say I’ve been to almost every nursery in the triangle area. Kiefer landscaping has a large selection of large trees and shrubs. Compared to Home Depot and Lowe’s you get much larger plants,trees, and shrubs. To me it’s worth the extra money to get a large plant instead of waiting 5 to 10 years for it to grow. There’s quite a large selection, but the best thing is that they have a website that includes all of the plants trees and shrubs that they have!! Look at it before you go! You can ask for a specific tree, ect. Also another big tip is that there is a reduced discounted section. Ask for it when you get there. I was helped by a very sweet,very nice, intelligent young lady named Crystal. She was very helpful and spent a lot of time with me. She even helped me pack the car!! I wish I took pictures, but I was too busy looking at all the plants and trees. Another big tip is wear boots it can get muddy there!

After several in-person meetings, emails and phone calls beginning last fall and continuing throughout the winter, we had given Kiefer's a sizable deposit and were scheduled by Kiefer's to begin installing a garden on our property. When we received their plans we executed the retaining walls PER THEIR DESIGNER'S SPECIFICATIONS and sent her pictures of same walls. Two days before they were to begin the work, the professional designer told us that there was additional work that had to be done on the retaining walls despite our telling her numerous times prior that we had concerns about it. She blew off our concerns repeatedly throughout the planning process and waited until this late date to voice her agreement with us. When we protested that we had brought up those same concerns over the previous months, she blew that off, too. We cancelled the project and sent a letter to Mark Kiefer asking him to respond to our concerns and shabby treatment within one week. Instead the company sent us our refund, minus her 'design fee' without a note, letter or phone call explaining or asking us about the situation. This is stated on their website: " We are motivated to bring quality to and industry full of mediocrity." We were not afforded quality or the dignity of a reply by the owner. So, this is what we must look at daily until we find a truly professional landscape company.

Thank you for time for expressing your thoughts and concerns. We apologize for any miscommunication that was made along the way. Kiefer Landscaping is not held responsible for any work that is chosen by the customer to do themselves. Our designs are guidelines for our crews to install. Client had informed designer and account manager that he confidently knew how to build retaining walls and chose for us to not install to save money. Our designer and account manager made an additional site visit to client’s property to review client’s portion of the project. After that meeting, Kiefer was under the impression that client understood where the terraces were to be built and that the design was meant to be site adjusted as needed to make 3 level terraces. Client sourced his own materials and did the work himself, but not to the point where Kiefer could pick up with our scope of work. Our designer also reached out and tried to reach a conclusion over the phone. When it was clear no solution would be found, our owner and account manager decided to drop communication with client and provide a full refund.
