I really wanted to try an organic company to keep my yard healthy. We moved here from across the country and our yard was in beautiful condition. After several months of service from Greenfeet lawncare our lawn went down hill quickly. We now have tons of weeds where we didn’t before. Makes me wonder what they were spraying on the lawn!!! Please steer clear of this company.

While I find the owner Mark to be very kind and knowledgeable using this company has become a big headache. Ultimately, they are failing in both customer service and have failed big time in treating my lawn. We started their service last spring with a yard full of spring weeds. They were able for the most part to get those under control. Although, weeds continued to grow it seemed to be about the time our next treatment was due. So I would just hold out and wait for them to come treat again. After months of service it never seemed as though they were able to get fully ahead of the weeds. I know it takes time so I never made a fuss. Things started bothering me in the last couple months. My yard in the middle of winter started turning green. After it started turning, my yard was serviced and nothing was mentioned so I thought maybe some of the warmer days were bringing on my grass to start growing. After it continued and continued I called and asked for them to come look since at this point my yard had a very large portions of green. After they serviced the yard the owner called and said it was weeds and they would come treat it. A week goes by and no service. I call the office and Bob says its too cold to treat this weed. The temperatures at this point are super low and he basically said there was nothing that could be done. I asked him why I have weeds in the first place because I thought I was paying for them to treat my lawn to keep the weeds from growing in the first place. He said he would have the owner call me. Another week goes by and I call back and ask for the owner. Again, Bob says he hasn't seen the owner yet so couldn't give him the message. I call back the next week again, Bob again says he will give the owner the message. Fast forward another couple of weeks and at this point when I call from my cell phone it goes to the answering machine and no return calls. I called from my house phone minutes later and they called right back. Bob says he told the owner I called but none the less still no return call. In their defense about two weeks ago they sent someone to treat the weeds. He spent 3 minutes in my large backyard spraying....not even enough time to walk around the whole yard. I spoke with him after he sprayed and he said it would take several more treatments, which by the way are weeks apart, to get rid of the weeds. So all in all these winter weeds are going to be around for about 3-4 months...if they ever get them to go away. Not worth the money. At this point I am already so invested with what we have spent. I have to wait it out and hope in the end they disappear. I would be very hesitant to use this company. Edit 2/7/1: Spoke with the owner who "apologized" for not being able to talk with me because his children have had the flu for the past 4 weeks (Let me remind everyone that I was told by his employee that I needed to reach out to the owner) His attitude was everyone has weeds and its part of nature. When I told him that his employee literally spent but a couple of minutes spraying my backyard...he basically inferred I was lying. He offered a refund for this past month and that I can look for another company. Unless they plan on refunding me half the year I expect them to come out here and get rid of the weeds I have been paying for all year long. RUN from this company! I have added a photo. This was taken today about 8 or more weeks after they first started growing. I have been paying almost $50 every 6 weeks or so for close to a year. This is the outcome. They continue to charge me for my service despite my yard looking above.
Response from the owner
I am very sorry for the weed issue in your lawn and your experience. Our company strives to provide excellent results to our customers. My employees handled the situation appropriately, in my absence. My office staff explained that the weeds in the lawn would be better treated once the weather warmed up, treating the weeds in temperatures well below freezing would not provide the results you wanted and therefore advised we treat once the weather became warmer. We had a plan in place to take care of the problem, for free, with a service call to retreat the weeds. Since that conversation with my office staff, we lost a week worth of work to snow and missed several days to rain, and freezing temperatures. When we spoke the other day, I explained that mother nature provided us with a lot of precipitation this season, these weather conditions can cause weed issues especially in your case, where we started with a lawn that was full of weeds and not well cared for in the beginning. I said there was a service call in place and that we were going to retreat the winter weeds again but, we were delayed due to the weather. During the sales process we advise all new customers it may take a year or more to get the lawn into shape, depending on the condition of the lawn when we start. I reminded you that we are an organic-based company and our goal is to provide a great looking lawn with less chemicals, and weeds in some cases, may take longer to get control, especially tougher to controls weeds like poa annua. When we concluded our conversation, I offered to refund your last application since you were unhappy and advised that maybe organic-based lawn care wasn’t for you, since the organic method was not providing the quick fix you were looking for, perhaps you should look for a more chemical based lawncare company to provide service to your lawn. The customer agreed to the refund and has moved on to another company.

We got tired of chemical lawn care. Our grand kids come over to play and we wanted something safer. They are doing a great job and the staff is polite and friendly. We are very happy.
