I went in with questions about a warranty after spending thousands of dollars on a mower. All my questions got me was an incredibly bad attitude from the guy behind the counter. The place was empty and he wasn't busy. Truly inexcusable behavior from a customer service rep. I was eligible for warranty service, but decided against it because I don't want to give them my business. I bought local for good service... I was wrong. *EDIT* This is a review of the customer service I received. This is not a review of the warranty terms.

Sir, you came in with parts in your hand and asking for warranty parts. That is not how warranty works. When an item is still under warranty, the repairs have to be performed by a Authorized Service Center. That is to determine if there are other issues or to find the cause of the problem and make sure it is addressed properly. All warranties have to be reported to the manufacturer and they are who pays the service center for the repairs & parts. We would be more than happy to repair your unit and if it is a warrantable situation, submit the claim to the manufacturer.

I can't say enough good about this business. These folks will take care of whatever you need, large or small. I went in because I wanted to buy local, buy American, and mostly because I couldn't get waited on at Lowe's or home Depot. They could've cared less that I wanted a mower today. I called ahead, Ms Whitney welcomed me to come look at what I get had, even described the mower I was interested in. Jason greeted me when I walked in, I asked him to let me look. When I was ready we talked about the mowers he had compared to what I had look at elsewhere. He knew his mowers. He knew what I was looking for and showed me the mower. I had a price limit and they met it. I could not be more satisfied. They even helped me service my smaller older mower and it runs like brand new again. I took an hour and forty minutes off my mow time. Thanks Gateway, thanks Whitney, thanks Jason. Lifetime loyalty now.
