  I hired Mark early last summer to clear a substantial amount of downed trees after a storm. He was very responsive and pleasant when we first spoke and agreed on the project. As I was not in a rush I was okay with it when he did not start the project for about 5 weeks, however then needed to insist that the work get done. Overall he did a good job with the tree work, but there was some further work to be done (that he agreed to) and he just disappeared. I needed a fence replaced, which he insisted that he could do, and he agreed to patch a hole in the roof of a cabin. A month went by and I finally got him on the phone, he assured me that he was able to do the work by end of year, but then he dropped out of communication again. I called, texted, emailed, even emailed his wife at the business...NO response AT ALL for another month. In the end I hired someone else to replace the fence (for $1500 less). As he had assured me that there was a temporary patch on the hole in the cabin roof I figured I could get that fixed later on, but then recently I was at the cabin and saw that he never put the temporary patch on the roof, and water leaked into the cabin ruining a bed and the floor. If you want more than just the friendly sales talk I'd suggest finding someone else.

  Mark, the owner of FX Tree Service, was top notch in every aspect of completing the large landscaping project at our home. Mark created a beautiful 75 foot arborvitae wall that looks like it has been part of property for 20 years.... all this was done with minimal disruption to lawn or surrounding plantings. He also created a beautiful rock driveway that enhances the property immeasurably; he placed large rocks strategically to enhance the rugged look. Spectacular! Mark is so expert at what he does, that he makes moving 1 ton boulders look like he is playing with marbles.... the skill level is excellent and indeed, rare. Highly recommend FX Tree Service.

  I had a large tree fall and block my driveway. Within hours after calling, I was able to get someone to come out and take a look and give a quote, and the morning after the crew came out to remove the tree and clean up the driveway. They were professional, responsive, and affordable!
