We had a positive experience with this landscape company during a neighborhood clean-up day in the spring, which prompted our nonprofit to return with our community garden's soil needs. However, this time around, we did not receive the 2 yards of soil we paid for (in advance). We called to alert them of the short delivery and arrange a follow-up. After being on hold for 15 minutes, our call dropped. We called back, was placed on hold for another 10 minutes, and were routed to the manager. Although the delay is understandable (post-COVID, a lot of businesses are short-staffed), the blatant condescension and rudeness of the manager was not; I wish I'd read reviews beforehand sharing other customers' issues with this. We had ordered 2 yards of soil in the past, so we were aware of what we were supposed to receive, but we were unable to get the driver's attention at the time of delivery to let them know we'd paid for 1 more yard. While on the phone with the manager, I sent a pic and timestamp of what was delivered according to scale. Rather than rectify the situation, the manager tried to take me through a math lesson. Unless they could come out and inspect with their own tape measures -- during a community event, already in full swing -- we were told that we were just out of luck and that they would be keeping the money because "we can't prove you're honest." What?!?! Good customer service, respect, and LISTENING is low on the priority list for the manager we dealt with on 7/28/2021. (And given how small of an operation this is, he is likely the only manager on staff.) Proceed with caution -- and take a look at some of the reviews calling out the misogyny experienced in dealing with this company.
