I asked for an estimate on mosquito and tick control of our property. They came and walked around my property while I was at work and sent me an email immediately about where they would recommend spraying and how much it cost. I was duly impressed!

I've never been to the physical location, but online the pdf Nursery stock list is an absolute nightmare to look at.. No organization of species beyond basic terms like shrub or groundcover/flower. Very chaotic. A huge improvement would be to alphabetize them by Genus species.. No one wants to sit and use Cntl+F all day. It also doesn't do much to illustrate the collection you have very well. Also, having a catchphrase like: "Intelligent design" on a document like that.. I have to believe it's being used as a humorous example in a class somewhere. I know I got a good chuckle out of it. Seriously though, take my advice and watch how much your online sales improve. Looking at this list like it is.. I just can't. Edit: In response to your reply I can only ask how you, as a professional, would think it is okay to cater to old ignorance instead of enforcing the necessary education? Or are you making the stance that there are no issues with using common names? If you aren't accountable for properly educating your clients, who is? Who is at fault for your clients using common names when you design their reading material? Considering the State DNR site directs people here, I expect a lot more from you.

Hi Neil, thanks for your comments. I believe you were viewing a list that was designed a few years ago as a brochure. We have more current lists on the website now, they can be accessed by the green buttons in the Online Ordering section. The main reason these are organized by common name and not genus/species is that our clients are usually not familiar with the Latin names. I will also mention that we had never done online ordering before last spring, and these lists had to be developed rather quickly. We plan to have them updated and better organized for this season. I hope that you would visit the garden center this spring and take a look at what we offer. Thanks again!
