We are not even customers of this company, but when we addressed a complaint about noise while servicing our neighbors, the owner was amazing and did everything he could to accommodate our needs as well as the needs of his paying customers. Thank you for your kindness.
Response from the owner
Mrs. Kramlich, I would like to address your comments. 1. “It’s all about money to them. They show up even when there isn’t anything to be removed. If I were a part of that condo association I’d be furious to be charged for services that weren’t needed.” a. Our services on this property are charged at a seasonal rate. There are no extra charges if we decide to plow the driveways of any accumulation of snow. So, no, it’s not “all about money”. 2. “The 1st year they serviced these condos they plowed every bit of snow from the condos across the street and dumped it in our front yard and over the sidewalk.” a. Can you tell me what year this was? On our property issues page, we show one instance where a new operator accidently took a small amount of snow and pushed it across the street. It seems like quite an exaggeration to say that every bit of snow was pushed out of those 22 driveways and put into your front yard and over your sidewalk. 3. “We’ve had them as early as 1:30 AM all the way up to 6:30AM. Most of the time they show up before 5:00 AM. They show up with big tractors with back up beepers and flashing lights and wake up our whole house holding including our son with autism. It is horrible. I contacted the company manager and he told me they could do whatever that wanted and didn’t have to follow city noise ordinance.” a. It is stipulated by the condo association that certain areas (including the entrance across from your home) be cleared and salted no later than 6am. This is something you will have to take up with the condo board, as we are fulfilling the requirements set forth by them. After reviewing our recorded times for this property, it looks like on average we are there between 4-5:30am to plow, with a couple instances that were around the 2am time. Our salt truck is there for about 10 minutes and shows up anywhere between 3-5am. I will try to keep this closer to 5am as we still need to fulfill our timeline set by the association. As for the back up beepers and flashing lights, we cannot knowingly remove or turn off any of the safety equipment on our machines. b. Can you please tell me the name of the manager who told you that we “could do whatever that wanted and didn’t have to follow city noise ordinance”? In no instance should we, ever tell anyone we can do what we want. 4. “Now they went and got a special permit so they don’t have to follow city noise ordinance.” a. There are no such permits available. I understand you frustration as our snow removal operations must take place in the early morning hours. We will try to have our operators wait as late as possible to begin work and still be able to meet their 6am deadline. You can reach me directly at [email protected].
