  David asked me to leave him a review. He completed work for us over two years ago. He cleared over 30 acres for us and built two basement sites. Everything is still holding up and looking great today. Such a honest individual and treated us very fairly even with us changing our mind every 2 minutes !

  A two week job turned into a 3 month job. After paying this contractor $31,000.00 I am left with an unusable driveway, dozens of large logs and brush scattered throghout the lot, poorly installed gravel, large rocks left on the side of the road, no erosian control and a driveway that encroaches 3' into a main road. The contractor refuses to complete his documented scope of work, despite being paid for its entirety. I will be pursuing legal action, but I am posting this in hopes of preventing someone else from being taken advantage of.

  Edwin Parra hired me to do a excavation job at his new future home lot. I was hired to cut a driveway into a mountain side and dig out a slab/homesite via home owners measurements. He told me to just put the brush to the sides of the driveway. ( I can show texts) Before starting Edwin had the driveway marked out with flags as to where to clear and dig out. ( I have pictures ) I told Edwin before starting that some of the trees in the path were to big for us to remove because of power lines and the road below. So Edwin hired a tree company to remove 10 trees. ( 4000.00) I cut the rough driveway in and Edwin came out and said it looks good and gave me the first draw ( 5000.00) Edwin then contacted me a couple days later and said the brush looks bad let's move it or haul it out. We agreed on 5000.00 to haul 15 loads of brush and to burn for two days. I decided to burn for a week and finished the 15 loads ( I have haul off receipts and before and after pictures of the brush being removed ) We then moved up the homesite and dug out for the slab. As we were working on the homesite area , inspector ( Art ) Came out and said he wanted us to install some catch basins on the driveway. I informed the homeowner and he wanted to know a price. We never moved forward. We finished the homesite area and we had a disagreement with a few trees and Edwin wanted a larger parking area. We created the larger parking but did not take the trees down as we came upon an agreement that it was safer for a tree company to remove them. We moved back down to the driveway and installed mesh fabric on the banks ( I have pictures ) and we installed 2 inches of # 4 construction gravel and a top layer of crusher run. ( I have pictures and gravel receipts ). Edwin came out and said it looks good and paid me another draw (5000.00). Edwin informed me on the same day that the bottom of the driveway entrance he wanted the bank cut out more and the big stump removed. We decided to wait and see what would have to be done for the well install as dans well drilling was saying he needed a large area cut out there for the well. Here's where the bad news comes in and what changes everything. Inspector met me later that week and informed me that he wanted the entrance of the driveway moved over maybe 10-20 foot. He said that he informed Edwin that this lot may have several changes at anytime if he does build on this lot. ( I can get a written statement for the inspector if needed ) I then met Edwin on the lot and told him what needed to be done and then he paid me the full remaining balance of 17000.00 and said the job looked good. Later I received a text message from Edwin saying what will it cost to redo entrance of the driveway ? I responded later with a quote at 9600.00 Edwin was not happy and said will you do it for 5000.00? I said no with the cost of taking the trees down and hauling the dirt out and hauling the gravel In i would barely break even.( I have texts ) He then informed that I need to bring my equipment back out there and move some builders and cut the driveway out at the entrance then if I won't do the job for 5000.00. I told him that the inspector said that it was fine where it was and I can leave it there. He then informed me that I did a horrible job and he was gonna sue me. That's where you see these nasty reviews and compliants come into play. I believe my 6 years in business and no bad remarks and homeowner that says via texts good job and pays me in full speaks for itself. Thankyou - david king
