  Over a 3 week period after they came to my property for landscape work estimate, I repeatedly phoned and emailed, in an attempt to pin them down on the specifics of a $2900 estimate to do yard clean up, digging up 2 very small iris beds, and fertilization of 8 lilac bushes. Miscommunication prevailed, with different answers from different people who answered their phone. As these back and forths ate up more time, I was told that, once I accepted their estimate and paid the deposit, it would be a further 2 to 3 weeks for scheduling the work! They repeatedly declined to itemize my "Spring Clean Up" and acted as if I should just assume that what was discussed in person was what would be done. I felt more and more wary about Charly Landscaping with each interaction. By the time they sent the itemization, I had pretty much decided not to hire them. In a final effort to give them a chance, I requested they provide me with references. Their response, via email, is verbatim: "Our clients are very private about us giving there information out without the concern." That about says it.
