I live in a townhome community and had problems with erosion related to a fence wall that was improperly installed on my neighbor's side. Phil with Champion came out, gave me guidance about what I needed, and the picture demonstrates the beautiful results! Champion replaced the entire fence and put in a retaining wall and white stone where the erosion issues used to be. The before and after pictures don't even really do it justice. Missy in the office was fantastic - it took a long time for the work to be scheduled (as is the case with all landscapers). The crew came out, exactly at the time I was told they would be there, and Phil came with them on the first day to make sure everything started smoothly. The crew was respectful, efficient, professional, and super hard-working (worked from 9 am to 7:30 pm the first day, and then 9:30 - 1:30 to finish up the following day). I had no idea what to expect, and this project turned out better than I could have imagined. HIGHLY recommend Champion for your landscaping needs - they are worth the wait!

Thank you Kim for the kind words! I have passed this message on to Phil and Missy who I suspect will be very pleased to hear you are satisfied and will notify the team that worked on your project of this review! Please let us know if you need anything further! Mark 770 649-0818

We did a basketball play court, a trampoline space, leveling out a slope to create a usable lawn in spring, and rock walls with drainage to ensure durability, along with a privacy fence. Champion has a great team! Everyone was professional and always on time. Phil understood my vision perfectly, and made it happen within my budget. He made great recommendations for alternatives that also worked for what I wanted and offered up ideas to make it come together. The crew worked hard and did good work. Behind the scenes the administration and communication was also very smooth, timely and thorough. I can't wait to be able to do the next project in the front yard!!

I was a long time customer of Champion Lawn. Overall, I was satisfied with the services until around spring 2021. The service declined rapidly, some weeks nobody serviced my property or it was done poorly. The supervisor Eddie came by multiple times and agreed that the work was not up to their standards and promised it would get better. Unfortunately, it only deteriorated. The manager of the office (Mark Wells) sent out a note to all customers that we should be patient with the poor service due to their staffing issues and included a note that we could send to our HOA since the lawns were not being serviced regularly. This was around spring time, after paying a monthly charge all winter without much service. So they had minimal staff all winter, took in all the regular monthly service payments then once spring hit we get excuses why the work was not being done. When you are paying close to 200 a month and the work isn't being done, a letter to send to our HOA and excuses doesn't cut it. Definitely not a company I would recommend.

Jim, We hope you are well and apologize for the issues we, and every other small business in America, dealt with during the first half of last year. I am curious why you waited a year to leave a review and further, why didn’t you reach out to the office with your concerns if Eddy continued to come to your property but nothing changed? Please note, Eddy left before Spring last year but your review stresses the difficulties we had with labor in Spring. Because Eddy was gone by end of Winter, why didn’t you reach out to the office with your concerns? Labor issues were very real last year (and to a degree continue to be an issue) and it is unfortunate you are choosing to address those issues a year later. We all were working 80+ hours a week doing all we could to take care of our customers. We would have addressed your specific concerns as well had you just called the office directly. Our phone number is clearly displayed in all our email correspondence which you acknowledge receiving as well as on our website and in our advertising. Unlike many smaller outfits, we have office personal who will answer you relatively quickly and address those concerns just as quickly. I am also having a difficult time locating you in our systems so I am guessing you were not the person who directly signed up with us. I can offer to review the account for missed services last year and see if credits are owed but we would have done that if/when you cancelled anyway which means if you (or whoever signed the proposal) were owed something upon cancelling for missed services you did receive it. As you should be aware (although left out of the review above), our services are pro-rated through the year. You pay a flat fee each month but some months we do fewer services and some months we do substantially more. As a longtime customer, you would have understood this and clearly been good with it along with what you were paying each month. Also, $200 a month may not have been much at all if you had a large property, lots of shrubs, or a difficult property. Again, because I cannot identify who you are in our systems I can’t really speak directly to that just like I cannot speak to issues you had with Eddy given he has been gone almost a year and he never made us aware of those issues. Calling the office and asking for someone other than Eddy after nothing changed the first few times would have resulted in immediate action. Unfortunately, Eddy left before April so my best guess is he did not follow through with much of what he should have and he did not relay information to anyone on what he was working on. All I can do is apologize for these issues as I believe I was unaware you were upset. I say I believe simply because I can’t exactly identify who you are. I am at a bit of a disadvantage here. What I can say is we are fully staffed this year and have been since July last year so a little patience would have resulted in you, a longtime customer, being satisfied with our services again. Additionally, we are taking care of our employees which is warranted given they have had and continue to service your property (and many others) through a pandemic while you most likely got to sit safe inside your home, we are investing in the business, and we continue to grow and take care of many customers each month. We have corrected many of the deficiencies we found ourselves in early last year and are stronger for it! As a result, we have hundreds of very pleased customers and will continue to improve and grow in spite of reviews like this from someone who has not been a customer in a very long time but felt it necessary to vent a year later. If you would like to discuss directly with myself you are free to call the office. If I can identify who you are and your property I can possibly figure out what happened. Otherwise, we wish you the best in the future and hope your week gets better! Mark 770 649-0818
