  We are ecstatic! Thank you Carroll Landscaping!!!! This is the fourth project we have hired Carroll Landscaping, Inc. and we are thrilled with the results! Our first projects consisted of a very large patio under and around our deck, the second was under-decking which created a dry space under the deck for entertaining, next was a gutter job, and most recently the front yard with a retaining wall. Carroll Landscaping have never let us down, the quality of work is impeccable. We had multiple problems in our front yard, overgrown landscaping from when the house was built, dark areas, tree root problems, and an overall lack-luster front. We have always been concerned about the front steps with regards to safety and not having a rail to keep people from taking a wrong step off the side. We had finally had enough and asked Kevin to come out and help us with some ideas. We decided to forgo the idea of a railing in favor of a short wall level with the main step, and a lower wall that would wrap around the house. I've always admired retainer walls, and I was already considering one for the front. I received full plans within the matter of a couple days, and after one or two small changes, we signed the contract. The crews were on the job within a few weeks (2-3 tops). I was shocked to see the progress after only one day, then the second, third, fourth.... I felt like I was a kid in a candy store coming home each day to see more progress. Everyday, the crew picked up the yard so as not to be an eye soar to the neighbors, and out of respect to me - the customer. At one point, the crew need to trim the side of the driveway to make room for the wall nearest the garage door. I'm talking like only an inch or two at most. Well, because the edge of the drive (as all are) it is packed at a 45 degree angle. After the wall was set, the crew added some asphalt to create a very clean transition from the driveway to the wall. Otherwise, I would have had a wedge that would have kept collecting junk. I wan't expecting this add-on as it was not defined in the contract. They new it wouldn't look right, and did the right thing. The entire project was completed within 5 days, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results! I've had as many as 8 neighbors stop by in the first day to extend compliments for how beautiful job Carroll Landscaping did. Check out the before and after photos. As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words, well then here is 6000 words!   Bought 6 trees for privacy and relied on company for guidance regarding tree type and placement. Trees had problems in first year. Called Bob several times to look at them and advise. Even though the trees looked to me as if they would not make it, he insisted that they would "be fine." Sent pictures and called again the second year. He sent someone different who fertilized. I asked what would happen if they never thrived. He said since the problem existed during the warranty, so they would work with me. This is the third year, they are still brown and shedding leaves. Sent pictures and called again. I was told they are out of warranty and to spend money with a different company to test soil. Want additional trees but will never do business with them again.

  We had Carroll install a paver patio for us (about 500 square feet). Before the job and during, Kevin (our project coordinator with Carroll) was very responsive and always got back to us. I was impressed. However, when they installed the patio at the same elevation as our rear basement door kickplate, I expressed concern. He came out and saw it and also expressed concern, but thought it would be ok. He offered to tamp the patio more to drop the elevation and I told him I would get back to him. I did so less than a week later and accepted his offer to have them come back and tamp it more. That was at the very end of August. Its 3 months later ... and I never hear from them except when I call and ask status. Every time I do, its "...I am hoping for better weather next week. " or "We will be on a job in your area next week." (yes, these are copied from his responses). But ... they never show up! He is just keeping me at arms length hoping I go away. In the end, we aren't happy with what they delivered and soon as they received the last payment, they treat you totally different. I was going to have them do our rear basement door replacement and front stoop replacement, but I will NEVER work with them again and I urge anyone else to not work with them either. The issue is when there is an actual issue (and you never know when or how this can occur) they do not deal with it properly from my experience. They have strung me along and hope I go away ... Just terrible customer service IMO You can reference my photo. The patio is higher than the floor inside my basement. Further, the patio is at the same level as the entry door... Wouldnt you have concerns too? NOT HAPPY@@@!!!
