Buck's is one of my favourite stores. I shop mostly online but I love coming here because they take care of stuff right in the store. Stuff like sharpening garden snippers or installing a new blade.
I had brought a damaged mower in for inspection recently and it was judged to be not worth repairing. They showed me some new battery-powered mower's which I went away and considered. Today I went back in both to get a hatchet fixed and to pick up a new mower. My reason for doing this purchase at Buck's rather than a big box store is that they will service the mower when the time comes rather than ship it off to Arizona or somewhere. Mark showed me how it all worked and packed the floor model into my car so I didn't have to deal with a box.
Friendly, knowledgeable guys. A very pleasant experience.

I have gone here several times to get my gardening tools sharpened.  They finished them quickly and professionally.  Convenient location, knowledgeable about their products. Highly recommend!

great shop with lots of products. Patient on the phone with honest advice. Stayed open a few minutes after closing time so I could get a saw bar and chain I really needed. Not the cheapest but I'll pay a few dollars more for knowledgeable folks who stand behind their products. Liked them so much I called Stihl to tell them what a gem they have in their dealer network.

Buck’s Saw Service is already awesome - always has what I need, listens intently to me, and is friendly and efficient - but in this time of the shelter in place they stepped it up a notch by creating social distance makers, adjusting their hours, and treating their employees well. Thanks for being open, and safe, so I could get s replacement wheel for my lawnmower so I could take care of my yard!

I wouldn't go anywhere else to buy my gardening and landscaping power tools.
They so do an amazing job at fixing and maintaining the tools I buy from them.
Can't say enough about them.

I brought in a manual reel push lawnmower that I bought off of Craigslist. It was a newish model, but the blades wouldn't turn. One of the employees immediately grabbed some tools and got to work, loosening screws, adjusting this and that, got it working in 5 minutes and refused any payment from me. This, after a local competitor told me Buck's had a backlog of 6 weeks and might charge me a minimum fee in the neighborhood of $45 for even looking at it. I walked out with a working mower in minutes with a huge smile on my face and filled with gratitude. I will definitely recommend this store — I could tell it's been around for a long time, and the employees there had a great vibe. Thank you all!

Took in 5 table saw blades and had them sharpened....all turned out great and run like they are brand new, the pricing is reasonable, on average about 45% of the coat of a new blade

I was a bit shocked when I logged on to access the business phone number and found their Google star ranking  to be so low.
I have worked with Buck's Saw for over the past decade and have only had the most incredible, top notch, honest and intelligent service members assist me.
In the beginning it was highly important that I priced out repair costs and compared them apples to apples with their competitors.  I made my decisions based on contractors I know and trusted and their recommendations,  by location (they are alone in Novato for fuel powered tools like chain saw and hedge trimmer repairs) and ability to turn a maintence tickets for service around so my gardeners were not held up. I was throrough to the point of annoyance on my own end not theirs, they were very patient, and I only went to these lengths because I was not making the decision just for myself but rather as President entrusted with ensuring certain tasks were completed well, on-time and preferably under budget.
Luckily that role is over but I still like to dot my eyes and cross my t's and make sure that I get the best deal possible and the best advice possible. I find that not only have they fixed the item to exceed my expectations but they also sell the best products.
I would recommend to any novice or expert that this place is an absolutely spectacular business and fair in terms of the repairs and maintenance they offer your current tools and they only sell the absolute best In outdoor products for your lawn and garden.  Trust me...electric only works if you live in a condo and have a small oatio and front yard.

I've been going there for years for all my small tool purchase and repair. Friendly knowledgeable staff.
