  Josh and his crew were awesome to work with and worked with us to come up with a beautiful back yard for our new house. We had no idea what we wanted back there but Josh had the experience and expertise to show us what it could become. They showed us several options and let us tweak items on the quote. We ended up doing a concrete walkway from the driveway down the side of the house, a concrete patio under our deck, a stamped concrete walkway out to the fire pit pad, rocks, trees and shrubs. Never imagined I'd have a yard this beautiful! The crew also did a great job cleaning up afterwards and were always on time with starting the work. I would highly recommend Blue Sky and would use them again in the future for any more yard projects.

  It was great working with Josh at Blue Sky Hardscapes. We are extremely happy with our backyard! First, one of the greatest things working with him is that Josh is up front about everything! If there are any changes that you request along way he is very honest to adjust details as needed. If you remove something, he deducts it from the cost, even small things. If anything adds cost, he will discuss with you and is very prompt about getting it written down and sent to you for electronic review/digital signing. Our job was big and there was never a moment we felt something was being hidden. At the end of the project our numbers matched up exactly and there were no surprises. His professionalism is outstanding! We extended our backyard into our side yard and graded the entire area to make it useful for our family. This work included a retaining wall, fencing, drainage installation, pavers, sitting wall, planter, putting green, sand tap/kids sandbox, artificial grass, shrubs, drippers, fire pit, pizza oven, and lighting. Our work was done during the winter, so we understood it was a long project because of weather. Josh was very good about making sure ground conditions were ready before doing any work and his crews were great at protecting the ground and clearing it as needed after snowstorms. They had massive tarps that were placed over areas at different times. This job had several crews. Josh made visits to walk through each phase with his crews and with us. Then the crews took it from there and communicated with us very well. The grading, retaining wall, drainage, sprinklers, and artificial grass was done by José and multiple others with him throughout the project. José was always there on time and was very easy to discuss things with. He is very hard working and had great ideas/solutions. He was there through the entire project and walked us through all aspects of the project. We had a putting green installed on one side of our yard and José and crew spent extra time making sure it was nice and level. A sand trap was put in for chipping and the design of it doubles as a children’s sandbox. A hole drainage system was installed in center of the sand trap to prevent water buildup. The pavers and stone work was done by Roberto and a few others. They did a solid, below grade base around perimeter of all patio before they started with pavers, steps, sitting wall, and fire pit area. Rebar and concrete was used for the sitting walls and other areas that needed more support. For the pizza oven they dug down and poured a concrete/rebar base to support the weight of the oven. I can’t imagine us ever having issues with the integrity of our new hardscape. The demo and gas line trench was dug by another gentleman that I forgot his name. He was very efficient and delicate with our existing house foundation when he tore out our existing concrete patio. He was careful around trees and existing planter boxes we were keeping. The gas crew ran a new gas line from our meter to our fire pit and pizza oven. They also custom built the burner for the fire pit and connected the pizza oven burner. Blue Sky Hardscapes is a great place for custom fire pits! They are very good at these and they handled the permit process. They must do these a lot and can add to projects for less than half the cost of what other places charge. The fence guys were great as well. They read and followed HOA guidance for an upgraded more durable fence and walked us through every detail. I wanted to have a double wide gate and they could easily do it and made the design match our neighborhood. The posts were mounted appropriately being on the upper side of the retaining wall and we look forward to a lasting fence. Blue Sky Hardscapes is great and we would definitely contact them again in future. Josh really has good guys on his various crews. I am sure he has others that we didn’t interact with and I would assume they are great as well.

  We received 4 quotes from companies for us to get our stamped concrete patio and gas line fire pit installed our back yard...Josh and the Blue Sky team were the only ones that were genuinely respectful of our budget. There were a couple of unexpected things that came up during the project (normal with any major construction in my experience) and Josh was so great at handling communication and assuring that everything would be perfect in the end. We also had a handful of bad weather days so the project took longer than expected, but again, the communication was excellent and they squeezed work in any time that they could to continue to move our project along. We are very pleased with our results and are so happy our backyard is an area where we can host, socialize, and have fun! It used to be a place for sore eyes. Thanks again to Josh and the team at Blue Sky Hardscapes! I'll highly recommend them to anyone I know that needs some help. Before and after pics below :)
