Dropped my cub cadet zt1 off on august 27th for a PTO bolt that sheared off and was under warranty. Was told to expect 4-5 weeks for the repair to be completed due to back order on parts. No biggie, I understand that. On the week of September 27th, I called to check on progress because that was going to be the fifth week. Turns out the parts wasn’t even ordered until September 22nd, 4 weeks after the mower was dropped off. Finally received the mower back on October 25th. When I picked it up the mower was missing parts that was on it when dropped off. Was repeatedly made out to be a liar as they was trying to tell me the parts wasn’t on it when I dropped the mower off. I wouldn’t recommend this company to do any business with under any circumstances. I only wish I would’ve read the other reviews before taking my mower for repair to them. I have attached a photo of the way I got my mower back. Missing the blower cover off the top of the engine.

I am sorry that you had a bad experience because of the confusion of our process and miscommunication during your repair. So I would like to explain the timeline a little. We did not order your parts as soon as you brought your mower because we do have to follow warranty procedures before ordering the parts. Your mower had a broken bolt in the crankshaft. Warranty requires us to pull that mower into the shop and attempt to remove the bolt. To do that your mower was put directly into the techs line-up to be pulled in and checked out. That does take a week or two depending on the repairs in front of it. The parts needed are different if we get the bolt out or not, therefore we have to wait to see what is needed. Then we also have to work with warranty to get the proper approvals once we know what is needed. In your case, the bolt didn't come out so we had to order a crankshaft (we would not have know that until we tried to get the bolt out). The crankshaft was the part that was on backorder. Since backordered parts are such a big issue, we are trying to watch the parts that we have multiple distributors to pull from. If we see that a different distributor receives the part quicker, we pull the part from their warehouse and cancel from the original. In your case we were able to get it a little quicker with another distributor. Once that part arrived (in the afternoon) it was put into the front of the techs line-up on 10/21/2021. This is labor intensive repair. The repair was completed on 10/23/2021. As far as the missing part, I am not sure what happened or how it happened. It is possible with the amount of time between the start of the repair and when the parts came in, it could have gotten laid off to the side and misplaced. Again I really don't know how it happened and we shouldn't have agued with you when you said it was there, but we did let you know that we are sending you the parts at no charge to you. We hate that it happened and we want to make it right. Again I am sorry for your inconvenience. We, like many companies, are down a few employees right now. We do have a great staff that is showing up everyday and working really hard to get things done. Thank you for your feedback and I will work with them to better communicate our process in the future. If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to contact me, Michelle Osborne, General Manager.

Long story short. They kept my mower for 12 weeks. I would call once a week to check on progress and same story, parts are pulled and should be finished by end of week. My husband went in to sign paper to ok what they said needed fixed which was a carburetor kit. We finally got mower delivered to our home and the invoice had nothing about a carburetor kit. We called and they said oh once we got in there to fix it that’s not what it needed. The first day I got on mower to mow about 50 feet and it stopped and a part fell off the mower and it won’t move. We called them and they will not return our call. Mower still in back of yard and will not run. The worse small engine shop in Madison County. I am spreading the word to not take your mower to them.

I am sorry for the confusion. I have looked back at the text communication and I do not see any communication after the mower was brought back to you (May 26,2021). If your husband spoke to someone here and we didn't get a returned call to you I do apologize for that. I try to return calls but it is very possible I could have missed a message this time of year. I am not sure what happened with that but if you would like to call me (Michelle) on Monday or stop by the store I will be happy to talk with you about the issues on your mower. If we missed something we always try to make it right. Again, we would love the opportunity to regain your trust.
