In September, we contracted Big Guy Landscaping to install irrigation, a lawn, driveway and walkway. We couldn’t be more happy with the results. They were responsive, professional, and courteous despite all my annoying questions. Our neighbors often comment on how nice our property looks - all thanks to Big Guy. We highly recommend them!

I would never recommend this business. One of the worst customer experiences I’ve encountered. From top to bottom, beginning to end— a horrible experience. They show zero communication about scheduling and when to actually expect the work to be done. The 2nd day of the work I asked the Forman why a shrub in the front and in the back wasn’t done and the gentleman said “we don’t have the equipment with us today to do this. We will have to come back in a few days or so. We don’t make the schedule.” Okay, fine. Three weeks go by and I hear nothing, so I call and the person said “oh I don’t handle scheduling, someone will call you back”. Fast forward a week (today), I email and call about it and they basically told me to pound sand. They said the work wasn’t in the invoice. Even though it was, and I specifically told the manager on the walkthrough and the Forman the day of the work what was to be done. From terrible scheduling, to shady contracts and business practices like me telling the gentleman “I do not want on going service, just a one time job” then receiving an ongoing service contract. That should have been the red flag warning sign, and I should have taken my business elsewhere at that point. There’s a plethora of landscaping companies around here, DO NOT hire this business—and I don’t say any of this lightly. It’s not my pleasure to have to write negative reviews, but this had to be done.

Thank you for the feedback. However, we do not agree with your statement. You were presented with a proposal for work. You selected only certain services to be performed. You then tried to have our crew complete the other service which you were not contracted for. Of course they were not able to complete the work because it was not on their work order. We did not tell you to pound sand, we simply explained to you that the work you are saying "never got done" was work that you were not contracted for. Regarding the renewing contract, it is industry standard. It is clearly stated in the contract that you can cancel at any time. If you did not want the work performed again next year, you could simply cancel the contract by writing an email or mailing a letter to our office. This was also explained to you by our staff. In the future, please make sure to fully read, understand and question (if needed) your service agreements with any contractor (landscaping or otherwise). It might save you the inconvenience of writing a false negative review.
