  I have always done yard fertilization, weed control myself and got fantastic results. But, full-time commitments were not getting any less - Work, graduate school, full-time father, etc. I was excited to try BLC last spring and signed up for the program. On the first visit, I noticed that they did not cover the area of the backyard that I expected - Namely a hill (approx 100x50) and a few other areas near the home. I let them know on the second visit. Still, it was not addressed. I was paying for this coverage and not getting it. It's a saving for them, and costly for me. That is not acceptable. I continued with the service for the entire year. This is what I found: - They use a heavy machine that puts tracks/ruts in my yard if it is the least bit moist. - Hill and other areas not covered. - A half-acre seemed to take them 10 min at the most (well, lack of coverage). - Their liquid products made my yard and surrounding area smell like a dutch oven. Neighbors were complaining to me about the smell of my yard after the treatments. - If there is any dog dirt in the yard, it gets run over and spread about. I clean it regularly, but it there is some out there, it's almost like the driver aims for it. - Way, way too many texts. - The heavy machine was driven right through the area I just put new grass seed down, leaving deep ruts in the soil. Thanks for that. I canceled my service at the end of the year, providing an image of the yard damage from the machine, and got no reply until several months later. Again, no follow or anything. I continue to get emails from them asking me to come back. I have unsubscribed and still get them. If blocking them doesn't work, it looks like I will be joining the witness protection program.

  Truly a great company. Nice people to talk to. They listen, work with your needs for your lawn and are very educated when it comes to growing thick, green, beautiful grass. I highly recommend. Though I gave gave four stars, I never give five seeing that there is always room for improvement. But all around, this company and the staff are excellent.
