  On 3/29, Jeff met me at my house to give me a bid on completely updating our front flower beds (He was referred to me by my buddy, who Jeff was starting a job for him). We had all the same shrubs that were planted in the 80's when the home was built. He gave me a bid to remove all of the old shrubs, plant new updated plants & flowers & 87' of new Austin stone & red brick border wall. Total; 2-3 days of work & $3700. I was in. I told him I was in no hurry, don't put me on the schedule until you can for sure dedicate all your time to it & get it done in 2-3 days. To reserve the time, I sent him 1/2 of the total bill. He put me on the schedule for 4/10. GREAT! I was thrilled. 4/9, Jeff texted & said he needed to delay the start until 4/11, b/c he was delayed with my buddy's job. No Problem... 4/11, 1 guys showed up to gut the beds. Jeff texted me the masons would be here this week. The guys worked about a 1/2 day & left, b/c he needed a chain saw to get the stumps out. 4/14, I got a text: "Dropped off plants. Undershot the cost of the plants. Will update later." I ended up paying him & extra $100 right then so he would have enough to fill out my beds. 4/15, I got a text that he had broken my sprinkler line & he would be back the next day to fix it & he would deliver the rest of the stone & brick. BTW, he never hauled off the old shrubs, they were still in front of my house, he said bulk trash would get them. 4/16, he texted that the masons were lined up for tomorrow, "Will have all hands-on deck" 4/17, I get a text; "Masons can be here this weekend", not what I thought "all hands-on deck" meant! I texted him telling him I was not happy, he told me 2-3 days, & we were now a week in, & the masons would not be there for 4 more days. He replied with excuses but told me I would be as happy as my buddy was, he promised. 4/21, His masons showed up, & were gone by 3 b/c of rain. I had to remind him he quoted me for 6 flats of flowers, because he only brought 3 flats. 4/22, his guys are still building the border wall, & I get this text: "When done, prob quick pay is best. That way I can pay guys". There was not even enough stone to complete the walls, & they were not 1/2 complete & he is texting me about a final payment? His guys were gone by 3pm 4/23, project still not done, no mulch installed & he texts me about the final payment again. At 6:38 he texts me again about payment, & his guys are still here working. I promise to pay him today, but I wanted all of the trash & extra brick hauled off (See pics) & he had to come put the mulch down by Thursday, 4/26. I also noticed that he did not level the beds to the new wall, & the new flowers were about 2 ft below the level of the wall. I went & bought 60 cubic feet of soil to level the beds & called him to add the mulch & get the rest of the remnant & trash. 4/26, he picked up the trash & added a little extra mulch but left the red bricks (See pic). 5/4, The bricks are picked up, but I texted him about the crack in the wall & the dead plant. He replied "Both are easy fixes. Will take care of it." 5/23, I receive this text "Be there tomorrow mid-day. Have to finish up in Frisco." I replied, "Thanks!" He replied, "Meant to send that to [my buddy]. Will get plant replaced soon." That was the last I heard from Jeff Bell. If you need some quality work done, in a timely fashion, Bell's Lawn & Garden is not your company. If you need someone who will do what they say, when they say it Bell's Lawn & Garden is not your company. To further the example, Jeff actually quit on my buddy's project, & my buddy had to hire laborers to finish his project that was started before mine. I would have paid another company more $$ to do a better job, who would have treated my property with more respect (I had to constantly pick up trash from my neighbors' yards that was left from Jeff's guys. Do not make the same mistake my buddy & I made. I am sure he is great at weekly lawn maintenance, but I will never recommend Bell's Lawn & Garden.

  Awesome work. Well priced. I'm insanely particular and admittedly a hard person to make happy. Jeff has always done a superb job on my lawn and I have since hired him to do some hardscaping as well. Also had him do my Christmas lights this year. Awesome!

  Bell's Lawn and Garden is very reliable and the work is excellent. I use their service for my lawn and holiday lights. The owner is hands-on and genuinely cares about his customers.
