The team at BCLS completely blew me away with my new backyard patio and firepit. From planning to completion they exceeded my expectation. I received the final plans weeks before the start day where we were able to confirm that our visions were aligned. On the first day, Howard came out and we walked the property, finalizing the plan one last time. Each day the BCLS crew showed up on time, made incredible progress, cleaned up, organized their equipment, and communicated their progress moving forward. Now my backyard has been completely transformed from a bare dirt yard to the perfect gathering spot for friends and family. Couldn't give higher praises to the team at BCLS and thank them enough for my patio.

BCLS did a outstanding professional job on installing a paver patio. The results were exactly like the designs on their website. Everyone in the office was friendly and never minded answers any questions. Howard went above and beyond by guiding us on some landscaping concerns we had even after the project was completed.

I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for quality work. Well worth the investment.

We just had BCLS install a patio for us.  We were extremely happy with the finished project.  Howard and the entire team were professional and courteous and we could not of had a better experience.  If you’re thinking about a patio installation, I would recommend them time and time again!!

BCLS was one of a handful of companies I consulted when looking to complete a patio project. They left the best impression on me during the initial consultation; being right on time, personable, and insightful about the project. They were also the most expensive option I looked at but their professionalism won me over.
There were some delays getting started but given the weather in spring around Richmond that is understandable. Some issues did arise during the project execution that probably could have been avoided with better communication but Howard and his team went out of their way to make things right.
Overall I'm glad I went with BCLS for my project and would recommend them to anyone looking for high quality landscaping and patio services.

BCLS and Howard were extremely professional and responsive to our needs. They helped us to design a beautiful bluestone/brick patio. We are very happy with their quality of work and did the project in a timely manner, which in this environment, is almost unheard of!!

Steven gave us the patio of our dreams and helped with the infinity pool, we had a budget of $50,000 and could not go over, this includes permits.  we signed a contract in 2020 for the project, since then rebar alone has gone up 25% but BCLS honored the quote they give us in March 2020, when other companies did not!   the work was completed, they included LED lights for the pool, we are so happy!   I want to point out a few things about this company and why we hired them:
1. communication, the other companies took 3+ days to come out, and there was nobody in charge, there was no accountable point of contact.   To speak to someone we had to always leave a message with the secretary and they would "get back to us"  BCLS was always able to get someone on the phone.   the other companies wouldn't even give our the sales guy cell phone number!
2.  selection of materials- the other companies limited selection to the "Blueridge options" -meaning they only stock and install what is popular in central Virginia, we are from out of state so we wanted something with more modern look, other companies told us that the price for modern would be double... when in fact this is FALSE.   BCLS showed us all the options including transitional and modern, and came up with clever ideas to give our patio a modern look while actually using less material than traditional "Blueridge/colonial patios" that are feature heavy.
3.   scheduling- we wanted the project done 6 months out... other companies insisted on right away if we are "serious clients"  so crazy.... BLCS allowed us to schedule the project 6 months out and it actually fit their schedule.
4.  professional workers-  their workers are so trained- they work so fast like a machine, when they came they had zero problems, they didn't ask us any questions, they had the blueprints and they finished the patio and the pool in less than 6 weeks.   Other companies told us this was not possible.... again not true.
5.   billing was accurate- we got the exact same bill we signed, no upsells, no hidden delivery fees, perhaps to some people this is normal but our experience with construction and landscaping firms is that they always find ways to get more money from you by throwing in delivery fees, fuel charges, or other things.. and later tell you "it was not in the bid'  THANK YOU BCLS FOR YOUR INTEGRITY !

My husband and I wanted to have a fire pit and patio so we of course shopped around and had several contractors come out.  Howard was the only one who was honest enough to tell us we could not put the fire pit where we wanted because of the slope in our backyard.  He recommended a new place which did not slope as much and his crew took time to build that area up so the patio would be level.  We love the design, the lights in the wall and the landscaping work that was done.  Its as if we are in a whole new house.  I have already recommended BCLS to several family members and friends and we can't wait to entertain on our new patio!

I moved into my new home last July and knew that I wanted to get a patio installed in my backyard. I am so glad that I chose BCLS because they were very responsive to my questions, they were always on time and the workers were very friendly, and the resulting patio is exactly what I wanted so I am very happy with the result. I would recommend them to anyone that I know. Overall an amazing experience!!
