  Brought my earth auger in for carburetor work as I did not have time to do it due to my work schedule, and I needed it working when I got back. It was at the shop for a week, so no rush order. Picked it up and it costed me $156. Huge markup on the carburetor parts as they were half the price through Amazon. And, charged me $88 in labor. It costed three times more than what I was expecting. I like to try to support small business owners, but this is an example of why small businesses don’t survive long. When you outrageously over charge for services and parts that a common person could do on their own, and buy a hell of a lot cheaper online. My suggestion would be if you know how to work on your small engine, just do it yourself; or find a different repair shop. If you do not know how to work on a small engine, my suggestion would also be to find a different repair shop.
