Working with Harry Booth was a great pleasure, he was very helpful and knowledgeable. The people that taught me, during pool school, were very patient and helpful. My biggest complaint was the total lack of communication with the company when it came time to get the pool started, installed and completed. I was never told when someone would come and do work. I was given excuses about the resin for the fiberglass pool. I understand we all went through Covid this year. But, please. All I asked was to be kept, up to date. I was very patient and understanding, but, I wanted my pool. It took over 3 months to dig a hole, drop in a shell and pour concrete. I was told fiberglass was very quick and easy. I was called and told I could not do the pool school until the last 10% was paid. I signed a contract and I was fine with paying, but finish my pool first. I had no lights in my pool, mounds of concrete in my yard, mounds of dirt and trash. Do what you said you were going to do. Don't mean to sound angry, just keep your customers informed. Lee

Lee, We are committed to the promise we make to each of our customers to deliver the pool or spa of their dreams. While COVID has indeed presented major hindrances for us all, our business has also faced harsh, inclement weather and supply chain issues and delays this year unlike any other. Every facet of our industry has been impacted, from manufacturing to delivery, and there is only so much we can do to facilitate jumping the additional hurdles our suppliers have encountered. This has made it difficult to complete our projects in the timely and thorough manner that we are accustomed to. Unfortunately, the delay from our fiberglass shell manufacture made that timeframe unachievable. We are working on doing all we can on our end to ensure the extended timeframes are as short as possible. And we regret that our communication was not sufficient; for that, we sincerely apologize. It is a great challenge that we are always working and striving to improve upon. We appreciate the time you have taken to leave this review and will use your feedback to continue to improve our business practices. Thank you for your patience and thank you again for choosing Aqua Blue Pools! Please reach out to our general manager, Kyle Thomas at [email protected] to let us know if there's anything else we can do.

12/27: Still waiting for company to fix poor concrete at drain. Said they would be out in November. Still waiting for county to come out and sign off on permit. 10/14: Still waiting for final caulking to be done and concrete areas to be fixed. Handrail and ladder were installed on 9/27. Service crew pulled their truck onto the property, which was totally unnecessary for those two pieces. Should have parked out on the street. Left tire tracks in the yard. Met with them December of 2020. Signed 1/5/2021. Major reason we went with them is they said they could deliver a pool to us that we could enjoy over the entire summer. Wanted to use B&B Pools but couldn’t get a start date before August of this year. Wish we had waited because as it is we did not get a pool that we could enjoy over the summer. Liner just put in last week, 9/7. This is with a start date of 4/22. Summer is over. Still looking at junk around our property, drainage work that hasn't been put in properly/finished, subpar work on areas of the concrete deck, no ladder for deep end, no entry handrail (backordered/out of stock), no brush provided with vacuum. Vacuum hose not the proper size. Barrier fencing gave us trouble multiple times and is currently of no value. They only corrected it once. Our neighbor’s patio got stained because of it flooding muddy water during heavy rain more than once. Pictures sent of the issue and nothing done after the first time. Many texts were not answered. There were emails that went unanswered. Asked questions that did not get answered. Vague answers given. To say that communications with this company sucks would be an understatement. On 7/12 the service manager said the following: “Looks like things are proceeding well. Once that deck is down, the rest does occur very rapidly !” Would really love to know his definition of “rapidly.” We asked for the date that the liner was ordered and never got an answer. They knew liners were taking longer to get. We don’t believe measurements for the liner were taken early enough in order for it to be ordered and received on time. On 7/22, same service manager said that they had an estimated ship date of the liner for 8/18. We had to contact them to follow up on it. One of the managers told us on 5/10 that concrete decks are scheduled for the 7th or 8th week of the project. Not a word about any delays. Phone conversation on 6/4 with another manager where we were told pool installation normally takes 10 to 12 weeks. A pool owner satisfaction survey we were asked to fill out on 9/11 says 8 to 12 weeks. We are at 20 weeks with everything not done. And this review doesn’t come close to covering everything. Convinced they are overbooked. Convinced they did not allow for delays in materials, liner in particular, which they were well aware of the possibility of delay on. Convinced that they don’t value us as a customer at all. You don’t raise your voice to a customer. You don’t constantly interrupt a customer who is trying to voice their frustration. When you are attempting to do 7 customers on a Saturday for final grading and can’t give me an exact day when you’ll do mine, after 20 weeks, you have too many projects going on. And you certainly have many other customers/projects that have had similar experiences as mine. We made every payment when expected, and after 20 weeks, for the last one, were told that they would stop all work on the project if it wasn’t paid. As the customer, with all that’s still undone, all we have to go on now is their word that they’re going to finish everything up. With our experience on our project, their word has no value. We have lost all respect for this company. 9/14 - ABP came out to do final grading. Said they would check with me when they were done to be sure I was satisfied with everything. Never happened. Still waiting for caulking and concrete issues to be taken care of. Unable to comment on value and quality as we haven't been able to enjoy any of it. Already seeing surface cracks in concrete.

Sheryl, Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. While we have successfully led the pool and spa industry in our area for more than 40 years, we welcome any opportunity to become better at what we do. Contrary to how you are currently feeling, we do indeed value you as a customer and appreciate your input and will use your feedback to improve our business practices. We regret that your experience with us has been fraught with so many delays and miscommunications. We have admittedly encountered many situations in the last year and a half wherein we should/could have communicated better, and we sincerely apologize for that. We are taking steps to ensure these recent lapses in conversation are eliminated and to ensure the information we exchange regarding deadline estimation and project completion is more accurate and is better received and retained. Global supply chain issues are a very real contributing factor to hindering our ability to complete projects in the timely manner we are accustomed to. These supply chain issues have been felt across every industry all over the world, affecting every aspect of commerce from manufacturing to product delivery, and there is only so much we can do on our end to make securing the resources we need for our projects as dependable, methodical, and predictable as we were able to pre-pandemic. We are still committed to delivering the backyard oasis of your dreams, even if we are not able to meet your expectations during such a chaotic time for our industry. We would also love the opportunity to see what we can do to remedy your dissatisfaction. Again, we are grateful for your patience and thank you for choosing Aqua Blue Pools. Thank you, V. Everyone at Aqua Blue Pools was very helpful and responsive to all of our design and construction needs. Harry guided my wife and I through the whole process and was there to answer all of our questions. The crews and supervisors were all very professional and respected the rest of our yard and our neighbors to minimize the disturbances during the time they were on site. It was great working with them and we are very happy with our pool.
