  Ordered 6 yards of garden soil via email. They were able to deliver the next day. They cant always do that, but they were able to fit me into the schedule. Professional staff, friendly driver, quality soil! I will go with AJs for all my landscaping needs from here on out.

  AJ's did a good job on our back retaining wall. It was a huge project to tear out the old railroad ties, and it was nice to get some feedback on the best method to replace the failing retaining wall from Dale. We ended up going with a "rip-rap" rock slope to hold the land back. It is effective, looks really nice, and low maintenance. The price was really good compared to some other bids, and they were super quick to get us in and complete the job. We initially had a few concerns about the steps built (sloping ground into the top step) and that was solved by building another step... an employee promptly came out to rectify the issue. So I am giving AJ's a 5 star review on the backyard retaining wall project because of the initial consultation/quote process, the price and value of work done, satisfaction with the work itself, and the follow-up and customer service to make sure everything is good. Dale was easy to work with (same with Nicole in the office), and the backyard looks AWESOME!

  Originally I was not going to write a review I was just going to chalk it up to a bad experience and move on. However, the unprofessional responses I received led me to do this. I ordered 10 yards top soil and asked to have it delivered to my back yard. The person taking my order said the driver did not like doing that as the ground is usually too soft. I assured her it was not. (I have a new mound system and had plenty of truck heavier than their back there. I did give them a second option Only if the first option didn't work out. I was home on a phone call that I could not interrupt as I watch the driver come down the road go directly to the 2nd option without even looking at the first and dump the load. When I got a chance I called the company and let them know I watched the entire delivery and I was not happy the driver didn't even look at the 1st option to dump the load. The person on the phone made it out to be my fault by saying the driver could dump it where he did. My assumption is because it was late in the day and he wanted to clock out. This was the point I was going to let things go and chalk it up to a bad experience. The person you get when calling for a delivery called me back and essentially told me I was lying. That she had talked to the driver and he said he got out and walked into the back yard and felt it wasn't safe. I told her again that I watch the whole delivery and he did not get out to look at all. She tripled down that the driver had and that I couldn't trust my own eyes. This review is now being written because of the lies told by the driver and the unprofessionalism of the person answering the phone.
