I wanted to take a moment to recognize David and the team. From the very beginning David set himself apart with how clear he was when he came to do our estimate. We didn’t have to do anything they literally walked us through the entire process. Their communication was very clear and the team is very responsive compared to other landscaping companies in the area. A cut above stood out to us as we had 3 companies give us an estimate on our landscaping project and we couldn’t be happier with David and the team we ended up doing a project and signed up for their annual mowing. You’ll notice that this company will keep you updated every step of the way and we loved it. Aside from the fantastic service and a job well done, the pricing was also more reasonable than others. If you are looking around and you read this review just request an estimate and you’ll see what I mean when David shows up to your house with his iPad and you will be blown away once you get his email and see the attention to details.

Extremely reliable.  Very good at communicating any weather delays.  I love the clean up service they did for my place starting and ending the season.  Very easy to correspond and work with.  Never a problem with billing.  I highly recommend them to anyone.

A Cut Above stands by its name.  The company has done hardscape and landscaping at our house and we have been extremely pleased with the outcome. The crews are friendly and work efficiently and neatly.   The team is very helpful and will walk you through a project.   We have also contracted A Cut Above to provide lawn care/fertilizer services, and have been pleasantly surprised with their service.  They go above an beyond to ensure that your lawn is properly prepped for aerating/fertilization.   We will not go back to a large corporation for lawn care again.  The larger companies don't take the same care in their work product like Dave and his teams do.  Thank you A Cut Above.

I had used them for several years for a very small yard but they have terminated the contract this month. Their website and portal is easy to use and I like the price transparency. Issues- 2 years in a row they have “weeded” out all my zinnia seedlings, this spring they majorly trimmed back my Ivy (pics) to mulch a bed. They mow WAY to short, I mean they came this week and most of my yard is cut with a weed wacker so they pretty much guarantees the lawn will die in the heat of summer. They have cut blooming hydrangeas back and  the crews really don’t know what is appropriate to prune and when. In fairness to the company they are communicative when I bring up issues- I am just getting tired of having issues routinely.

We've done work for Heather for 3+ years now, her property is about the size of a corner townhouse. She has a lot of variety in her landscaping and the issues we ran into were extremely minor and we've gone above and beyond in an attempt to make right but nothing seems to be good enough. We cut the grass at 3" during this time of year and the browning is due to heat stress, not being cut too short. We've had 90+ degree temps this summer and if you don't water the grass you can start to see some browning (heat stress). If you read through some of our other reviews here and on our website you'll see that we have 1500+ very happy customers and if we ever make a mistake we'll do whatever we have to in order to make it right.

I contacted A Cut Above in the fall of 2020 to discuss landscaping work. Dave Castleman, the CEO, came out and walked through the yard with us and asked relevant questions in order to design a plan that met our needs. While waiting for spring, I used the handy calculators on their website to "shop" for other services and signed up for yard cleanup, fertilization, and lawn services. Now that spring has arrived, the crew completed the landscape install and it looks great. I am looking forward to a summer where I can focus on flowers instead of a never ending battle with weeds. The yard will continue to look better as plants grow and the crews make their routine visits. I love that the company uses technology to send out notices of upcoming visits, and the client portal lets me manage my account.

We have used A Cut Above for serval years now, starting with their leaf service.  It took them over 10 hours with a full crew to do my neighbor's and our yards, the place looked amazing. They do a great job in our spring cleanups and mulching.  Super nice teams, and they seem to have the same folks since we started which is a great sign that they take care of their employees.

We had A Cut Above redo our entire landscape this Spring.  Everything was overgrown and a complete mess, so we removed all the trees and shrubs and had Dave and team come in and replant all new shrubs, trees and ground cover.  They also installed some stacked stone walls to define the beds.  They did a fantastic job and now that the grass has had time to fill in, the yard is looking great.  We also use A Cut Above for our mowing and maintenance services and they do an awesome job of keeping the entire yard looking great.  Definitely recommend them.  They are great to work with and always strive to accommodate my various requests.

I have been a client for too many years.  I have never been disappointed -- they have an exemplary communication system and keep customers advised in advance as to cutting or delays.  My lawn continues to flourish under their care.  And the price is right.  Most impressive -- no clippings are left behind!  Due to medical conditions I just sold my house and now reside in an assisted living facility or I would still be home and unsung A Cut Above

A Cut Above is absolutely the best lawn care and landscaping/hardscaping company that i have used.   I realize it will sound like i am going overboard in this review but i have to say that i have used A Cut Above for years and have never been disappointed.     They are reasonably and fair with their pricing, great on communication, on time and professional.  They work with you directly to make sure that what they are doing meet your needs and vision.   The team clearly takes pride in their work.  Chris, Dave and all their crew are great!

Last year i had a major project to replace my back patio which resulted in basically redoing my entire backyard.   I had a very specific  and unique design that i found.   I knew clearly what i wanted it to look like and Dave was excellent at working with me on a daily basis to make sure that what they built met my vision and expectation.  From planning and layout to paver selection, color, wall block, etc, there was not a detail that we did not work thru.   Once the team started they were here every morning on time and worked diligently even in the hottest of hot days.   They had no problem with any questions I posed or changes that i wanted to make along the way.    Needless to say, I was absolutely thrilled with the outcome.   I still walk outside and smile when i see the finished product and cannot wait to open up the patio this year for use.

Additionally, i use A Cut Above for my regular lawn care and maintenance.  Again, they are great on scheduling and communication.   Always letting their customers know when they will be out to mow or care for the lawn.   They are always on time and the results are great.   I would not hesitate to use them over and over again.
